| FASA Softball Tournament Rules Contact Tournament Director Chris Solis at 361-223-8601 for more details. Pool 60 minutes drop dead with a $40 PAP. Bracket 70 minutes finish the inning with a $45 PAP. Age Groups 10U - 18U: Pool games: 60 minutes drop dead with a $40 PAP. Bracket games: 70 minutes finish the inning with a $45 PAP. 8U: Pool games: 60 minutes drop dead with a $25 PAP. Bracket games: 60 minutes finish the inning with a $25 PAP. All 8U players must wear face shields. Awards 1st Place: NEW Custom Championship Rings (13). 2nd Place: NEW Custom Finalist Rings (13). Fees Registration Entry Fee: $125 Each player on roster bring a school supply packaged Daily Gate Fee: $10.00. Schedules/Communication Released by Thursday at 3:00 PM. Payment Methods Include team name, coach, and age division in notes. Venmo: @chrisPRO18 (PRO logo picture) Cash App: $SoftballFatboy18 (PRO logo picture) Withdrawals Teams that pull out after the schedule is out lose entry fee. Game Time Be ready 15 minutes prior. Pool games: 60-minute drop dead. 4-run cap or 3 outs per inning in pool play. No infield warm-ups after 1st inning. New pitchers: 5 warm-up pitches. Should be warmed up prior(bull pen) . Rules of Play Pool Provide 1 game ball to umpires at plate meeting. Bracket-Pro Tournaments will provide all games balls for bracket games must be used. Bracket run cap: 7 runs per inning, no cap after 3rd inning. Championship games have no run cap. Home team keeps official book in bracket play. Run rule: 12 after 2 innings, 10 after 3 innings, 8 after 4 innings. Courtesy runner for catcher/pitcher if no substitute is available. Umpires Fees: $40 and $45 for 10U through 18U. $25 per team for 6U and 8U. 8U Championship Games: 2 umpires with a PAP of $45. Higher seed is home team for championship game. No IF games. Tie Games-International Tie-Breaker (ITB) ITB bases loaded: (1st: 1 out last 3 batters), 2nd time: (2 out last 3 batters) with no warm-up. If still tied after 2 ITBs, a coin flip determines the winner (only in bracket games). Protests Cost: $150. Decided at time they occur. Can not protest a game once time has expired. Final decision by tournament director or acting director. Equipment and Conduct Provide 1 softball at start of each game. All teams must have FASA-approved softballs (COR 47, Compression 375) and protective equipment. Foul language results in ejection. Ejection results in 1-game suspension or termination of game. Only 1 cooler per team with water allowed (no outside food). Teams or players can bring personal water jugs. Game time is forfeit time. Miscellaneous Face Mask 12U - 1st, 3rd and pitcher required facemask Face masks mandatory for 8U and all infield players in 10U. Players in 12U and below must wear face shields and cannot wear metal cleats. All bats must have ASA 2000/2004 stamp and not be on band list for NHSFA Rule. Bracket games: 70 minutes or 5 innings, whichever occurs first. ITB used to break tied games after 5 innings or time limit expires in bracket play only. Teams clean out dugout after each game. Alcohol or illegal substances not permitted anywhere on premises. No Smoking or vaping within the complex. Liability and Safety FASA and tournament directors assume no liability for any claims of injury or accident. Director reserves right to reschedule or delay games for safety. Teams must provide proof of team insurance at check-in. Team rosters must be online by Friday night. Not the directors responsibility to check. All coaches and staff in dugout must have completed background check. Teams prepared to play back-to-back games. Home team determined by coin flip. Teams must be ready to play up to 15 minutes early. Team Rosters Submission: All team rosters must be submitted online Friday night. Failure to do so will result in a forfeit of the game if protested and found in Violation. Online Roster for Each Game: Teams must have an online roster for each game. Please carry copies of Birth certificate in case of protest. Eligibility: The tournament director will have final discretion in determining the eligibility of players on the roster. Penalties: Any team found to have ineligible players on their roster may face penalties, including but not limited to, game forfeiture and disqualification from the tournament.
